Fun eNews - May 2009

What is new at FUN PRO!!

Spring is here - school events (afterproms, spring Flings, senior days, etc.) have been FUN and crazy. One thing I will say is I get a renewed sense of hope for the future and pride in the young people of Colorado when we are neck deep in school events. We so often hear the media talking about the mischief and worse that is created by teens, but rarely do we hear about the young people who are doing amazing things or simply being great kids who are well-mannered, respectful, and caring. When I am on event sites at high schools and colleges I love seeing all these kids being courteous, friendly & having a great time taking a break. I also see their stress with finals coming and all the end of the year stuff they have going on - most of them honestly care about their education and want to succeed. So give a good kid a pat on the back when you get the chance, it feels pretty great to acknowledge a part of our future!

Fun Productions is gearing up for what looks like it will be a great summer. Regardless of this economy (which I refuse to let get me down) communities, and companies need to relax and celebrate their successes occasionally. Summer picnics and Team building events seem to be a great and cost effective way to do that. How perfect for Fun Productions, as we have made those events our specialty. A summer event is is an ideal way to gather and have fun in a traditional, get back to basics way - where groups and families can socialize, play games, and eat some good 'ol American BBQ. We can take the FUN to a park, a major sports stadium, or even right to your own space! If you need any help at all planning your summer functions give us a call and check out our hassle-free picnic packages!

All our best & cheers to a great spring!

Hello Everyone,

As the newest member of the FunPro team, I just wanted to take a moment and say how absolutely thrilled I am to be on board! I come to FunPro with over 15 years in sales. I truly pride myself on being my clients "go-to gal" - giving them peace of mind knowing that I will go above and beyond to get the job done.

Outside of work (disclaimer: my husband would say I never actually stop working) I have an amazing husband Joe and an incredibly gregarious preschooler Liliana. We love to be outdoors and always doing something FUN. I am President - Elect for St Michael's Preschool PTO and I also enjoy coaching Lily's soccer team as well as staying very involved in the community. Have some fun at work!

Monday, April 01, 2019

  1. Treat yo’ self day! Find out what would make your team feel appreciated or what is fun to them and make a day out of it.
  2. Cereal Bar! Who doesn’t like cereal? Breakfast? Cereal. Lunch? Cereal. Afternoon Snack? Cereal. Dinner? Cereal. It is inexpensive, unexpected, and surprisingly effective. If you have the means build one in, but if you don’t, just bring in a variety of cereals and milks for a day. Bonus, no one will be hangry all day!
  3. Take some time to laugh and relax! “You can learn more about a person in an hour of laughter than a year of conversation” – Plato. Seems simple enough, it’s just not always easy to find opportunities to bond, right? Around our office this means pajama day! It turns out that our boss wants to wear pajamas to work too. Get the boss on board for some fun and everyone will follow
  4. “While the cat is away, the mice will play.” This old adage is outdated, and we find bonding over the little things brings our team together. Letting people take a minute to enjoy the sunshine or tell stories and not consistently be focused on the job leads to more productivity! When you need some extra time to connect we have you covered; try www.coloradoteambuildingevents.com for fun bonding experiences from Corporate Recess to in-depth training & facilitation focused on “understanding & synchronizing your team.”
5. Serious fun! Company picnics have been our specialty for over 25 years, but why have fun just once a year? We have tons of other ways to have fun at work. Some of our favorites are mini golf in the hallway, obstacle courses in the parking lot, field day at the park, arcade games in the board room, and especially a photo booth break! Give us a call and we can come up with some custom fun for your office.

Fun at work is easy to achieve if you just make the commitment! It doesn’t have to be time consuming as all it takes is one trip to the grocery store, a calendar invite for a theme day, or a phone call/email to the Fun Pros!

(She was actually super productive this day and really excited to be at work!)
