Second quarter is right around the corner. We are actively gearing up for the busy season, doing lots of hiring for event staff, so they will be all ready for spring and summer FUN!
The Fun Productions' family is growing again this spring. You have all heard about Colorado Teambuilding Events, the smarty pants little sister company to FP. Now we are joined by VIE Events - Visually Interactive Entertainment for your next Special Event! This high tech, super cool and cutting edge cousin will be flashing its new wares at the BEST events all over town. VIE specializes in LED dance floors, LED bars & furniture, PopNoggins, Green Screen Photos, Flipbooks, Virtual Graffiti Walls, Video Karaoke Booths and lots more of the most cutting edge interactives around. Look out for VIE snapping, taping and lighting up soon!
20th anniversary trivia question - Who knows the first FP client that hosted a casino night with us in 1992? Her name is Carol Hearn, she was a Real Estate agent for Remax who wanted to entertain her clients. Carol is very dear to us. She gave us a chance when we had no portfolio or references. I remember the event like it was yesterday! I was so nervous, but it all went off without a hitch. Who would have guessed we would be doing 1500 events per year 20 years later?? Back then we never even thought we would be able to quit our "real jobs"!
Thank you to all of the greatest clients, partners and industry friends in the whole world for allowing us to bring the FUN for our 20th year.

All Things Theme

If you missed New Orleans this Mardi Gras, why not throw your own? Guests always have a good time celebrating excess!

When planning your own Bourbon Street Bash, incorporate beads, beads & more beads! Beads could jazz up your invites, be handed out as guests arrive, and used as decor draped over tables, chairs, everywhere! Perhaps even choose a few festive words to make taboo during your event, and instruct guests to give up their beads if those words are accidentally used.
Purple, green and gold are the traditional colors of Mardi Gras. Signs, such as Bourbon Street or The French Quarter, create a desired street carnival feel. Lanterns and candles, once used to light the parades, would make great centerpieces along side Cajun cuisine and the King Cake. Ask guests to also help set the mood by arriving in customary costumes.

Fun Productions has the perfect fusion of casino and carnival equipment for this theme! How about your own bead art or mask decorating station? Stilt Walkers, Fire Eaters, Face Painters, Jugglers, Balloon Artists, Magicians? Confetti cannons! And, don't forget, the photo op! The Fun Pros can create the ideal take-home keepsake for your guests with state of the art Green Screen Photography, Get Flipped, Flip Books, or photo booths and appropriate props!

Any good Mardi Gras should include an area for dancing to some Cajun Zydeco or Jazz! Make an event of the King & Queen crowning. Hide candy coin "Doubloons" for guests to find throughout the night. Door prizes could be awarded to the guest with the most coins, the most beads, the best costume, or even the winner of Carnival Charades. Although everyone wins with a Mardi Gras Theme Party!

Score big with the following Basketball variations:

WAR: 2 teams start by playing each other. When a team scores, they remain on court. The other team is replaced by the next team from the sidelines.

AROUND THE WORLD: Players attempt shots from various locations on the court. The 1st player to make each shot wins. Then, he faces a new opponent.

KNOCK OUT: Form a line anywhere on the court. (All players try to make their 1st shot from this location.) The first 2 players in line each get a basketball. If Player 1 makes the 1st shot, the ball is passed to the next in line.If the 1st shot by the 1st player is missed, he must rebound and try the basket from another location. If player 2 makes the 1st shot, player 1 is eliminated. This continues until only 1 player is left.

“I couldn’t have asked for better service from your staff. They were prompt, professional, and very accommodating. Those of us who are ‘gambling challenged’ appreciated the time they took in teaching us how to play the games. We look forward to working with you in the future.” –Jennifer Dawe, Aztec Consultants, Inc Jennifer Dawe, Aztec Consultants, Inc

Have some fun at work!

Monday, April 01, 2019

  1. Treat yo’ self day! Find out what would make your team feel appreciated or what is fun to them and make a day out of it.
  2. Cereal Bar! Who doesn’t like cereal? Breakfast? Cereal. Lunch? Cereal. Afternoon Snack? Cereal. Dinner? Cereal. It is inexpensive, unexpected, and surprisingly effective. If you have the means build one in, but if you don’t, just bring in a variety of cereals and milks for a day. Bonus, no one will be hangry all day!
  3. Take some time to laugh and relax! “You can learn more about a person in an hour of laughter than a year of conversation” – Plato. Seems simple enough, it’s just not always easy to find opportunities to bond, right? Around our office this means pajama day! It turns out that our boss wants to wear pajamas to work too. Get the boss on board for some fun and everyone will follow
  4. “While the cat is away, the mice will play.” This old adage is outdated, and we find bonding over the little things brings our team together. Letting people take a minute to enjoy the sunshine or tell stories and not consistently be focused on the job leads to more productivity! When you need some extra time to connect we have you covered; try www.coloradoteambuildingevents.com for fun bonding experiences from Corporate Recess to in-depth training & facilitation focused on “understanding & synchronizing your team.”
5. Serious fun! Company picnics have been our specialty for over 25 years, but why have fun just once a year? We have tons of other ways to have fun at work. Some of our favorites are mini golf in the hallway, obstacle courses in the parking lot, field day at the park, arcade games in the board room, and especially a photo booth break! Give us a call and we can come up with some custom fun for your office.

Fun at work is easy to achieve if you just make the commitment! It doesn’t have to be time consuming as all it takes is one trip to the grocery store, a calendar invite for a theme day, or a phone call/email to the Fun Pros!

(She was actually super productive this day and really excited to be at work!)
